OPWP plans independent power project in Oman

13 October 2011: Oman Power and Water Procurement (OPWP) Company is planning to build 300 MW independent power project (IPP) in Salalah to meet the growing demand in the southern region. The gas-fired power project will be awarded for development in the first quarter of 2013, and will go on stream in the first quarter of 2015.
