Oil ministry inpact with Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production

13 October 2011: The Ministry of Oil and Gas expects to sign contracts for a 'minimum' of two further blocks before the end of 2011, according to an official - as the ministry completed the signing of two contracts with Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production (OOCEP) .

The Ministry of Oil and Gas has signed the contract, exploration and production sharing agreement will see the company commence exploration in the 25,600 sq km Block 42 by carrying out seismic studies and drilling one exploratory well in the three-year initial phase.
