Oman ministry grants funds to build 2,000 low-cost homes

19 December 2011: Oman's housing ministry has paid OR40m to build around 2,000 low-cost houses in 2011. The ministry has allocated another OR40m for building low-cost homes and OR7m in 2011 and another OR7m as interest-free loans for next year. There are three types of aid presented by the ministry of housing; residential aid for people with low income, loans without interest and Oman Housing Bank loans for people whose monthly income is above OR500.
