Oman to sign Sur power projects
8 July 2011: Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) are to sign agreements for the implementation of power project at Sur in the Sharqiya region in July.
The 2,000 megawatts (MW) project is an Independent Power Project (IPP).The Tender Board has awarded the consortium led by Japan's Marubeni the license to design, finance, construct, operate and maintain the project.
