Orascom Construction Industries receives Saudi stadium contract
The unit of Egypt's Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has been awarded a SR2.07bn ($552m) contract to design and construct a major sports stadium in the Saudi city of Jeddah. Six Construct - which is fully owned by Besix Group, itself a 50-50 JV between OCI and Belgian construction group Besix - has won the contract in partnership with local firm Al-Muhaidib Contracting Company for a 60,000-seat stadium at the King Abdullah Sports City.
