PTB awards contract to KPMG International for the upgradation of communications

30 September 2011: A consortium led by KPMG International has been awarded a contract by Kuwait's Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) to provide consultancy services to the ministry of communications' project to upgrade the Gulf country's communication network. The contract involves the investment of KD1.6m over a period of 15 months. According to the contract, the consortium is to work out the feasibility studies of the project as a prelude to casting it to bidders. The project is aimed at boosting the capacities of the communication network, replacing the cables and optical fibres of the existing network, and provide better cost-effective internet services.
