Qatar's Al Meera to Acquire Giant Stores
25 July 2011:Al Meera Holding LLC is to acquire the outlets of the Giant Stores in Qatar currently owned by Muhaidib Group. The deal also includes the acquisition of the Al Oumara Bakery Company of Al Muhaidib. The deal, which is worth close to 350 million Qatari riyals in additional revenue for Al Meera Holding, will see Al Meera operate hypermarkets for the first time:
