SK Engineering and Construction in pact with Carbon Holdings
20 September 2011: South Korea's SK Engineering and Construction signed pact with Carbon Holdings to build petrochemical plant in Egypt.
The plant is estimated to cost $3.5 billion (approx Rs 16,625 crore). The plant capable of producing 1.35 million tonne of ethylene per annum will be built in the Ain Sokhna industrial complex 120 km (72 miles) east of Cairo.
The construction of the plant is expected to be completed in 2016.
