Samsung to sign deal for nuclear reactors
25 February 2010: Samsung Corporation is set to sign a sub-contract agreement with state-owned utility Korea Electric Power Corporation on the construction of the UAE's nuclear reactors.
In 2009, a South Korean consortium led by Kepco bagged a Dhs75bn deal to build and operate four nuclear reactors for the UAE. The consortium includes Hyundai Engineering and Construction, Samsung C & Corporation, Doosan Heavy Industries, and US-based Westinghouse Electric, a unit of Japan' Toshiba Corpoation.
