Saudi Ports Authority completes major projects

31 December 2011: Saudi Ports Authority, the government agency which supervises ports in the kingdom has completed development projects worth $386 million (approx Rs.2048 crore) last year.

The contract which was signed by the authority in the last year, was designed to improve the infrastructure of all Saudi ports, increase their service-efficiency as well as bring about advancement and improvements of maritime channels and shipyards, building new docks, terminals, and administrative offices and upgrading power network capacity.
