Sharjah plans long term housing strategy to meet population demand

12 October 2011: Sharjah is planning a long-term housing strategy with the aim of meeting the growing population demands until 2025. The Department of Planning and Survey has based the strategy on population growth estimates, the average family size and the approximate number of housing units that need renovation or replacement, Salah Bin Butti, Head of the Department.
