Turbine of Bushehr power plant successfully tested
25 August 2011: The turbine of the Bushehr nuclear power plant's reactor was successfully tested on 23 August 2011.The power plant has reached 40 per cent of its capacity with the preparations are being made for the initial launch of the power plant.
The plant, which is located near the port of Bushehr on the coast of the Persian Gulf, will produce 1000 megawatts of electricity once it becomes fully operational.The Bushehr power plant will be connected to the national grid by the end of the holy month of Ramadan (August 31).
