US Library of Congress plans expansion

10 November 2011: The US Library of Congress is set to expand its collaboration with the Qatar Foundation (QF) and Central Library, following the successful partnership for the World Digital Library (WDL). The two parties have signed a memorandum of understanding outlining joint efforts and expanded cooperation in four main areas including the addition of Arabic-language books and manuscripts, works of Arab science and technology, increasing the number of institutions from the Arab world that are partners in the project, and increasing the use of the WDL by students and educators in the Arab world.
