University of Bahrain to merge colleges
23 August 2011: University of Bahrain has agreed to adopt and implement the recommendations of the National Dialogue by merging some colleges and academic disciplines. The university board has approved the transformation of Physical Education and Physiotherapy Academy into a college. It has also given the green light for the opening of a Sharia, BA programme related to financial transactions. The board reviewed 15 recommendations previously raised by the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training and considered them as strengths for the university.
