Aitken Spence hotel reopens as health resort

25 July 2011: Sri Lanka's Aitken Spence Hotels has reopened its hotel after refurbishment with conversion into an ayurveda health resort.

The 64-room beach front Neptune Hotel on the southern coast has been renamed Heritance Ayurveda Maha Gedara. The hotel has installed solar photovoltaic panels with a 3.5 kW capacity, with its further plans to set up biogas plant using kitchen garbage as the primary source for the production of biogas.
