BASF India acquires business of Cognis Specialty Chemicals
27 June 2011: Pursuant to the acquisition of Cognis Holding GmbH by BASF SE worldwide in December, 2010, BASF India approved the proposal to purchase the Specialty Chemicals business of Cognis Specialty Chemicals in India. The company with all its assets and liabilities on a going concern basis with effect from July, 2011 for a consideration of approx Rs 13.4 crore subject to requisite approvals if necessary.
