Bayer sees Pfizer's animal health business
8 August 2011: Germany based Bayer is contemplating to bid for the animal health unit of Pfizer to divest a business valued at as much as $16 billion (approx Rs 71200 crore).
Pfizer's animal health business develops products for livestock and pets, and operates in more than 60 countries. Bayer is also in plans to foray into agro business and genetically modified food technology.
