Best Western International to open property in Bangladesh
25 November 2010: Best Western International is likely to open its fifth property in Bangladesh. The 150-room Silver Hotel, which is still under construction, is scheduled to open in Khulna in 2013.
It is the latest step in Best Western’s expansion plans for Bangladesh, which comes at a key stage in the country’s tourism development.
Khulna is the second biggest seaport, located on the banks of the Rupsha and Bhairab rivers and is home to the Khulna Shipyard operated by the Bangladesh navy. The city is a major industrial and commercial centre and, like other big cities in the country, is undergoing a transformation due in part to its fast growing population.
