Tenders for Ras Al Zour water project soon
7 December 2009: Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), Saudi Arabia is likely to issue tender documents for the Ras Al Zour power and desalination project to local and international companies soon.
The plant, to be located in Ras Al Zour on the Persian Gulf coast, will have production capacity of 2,400 MW of electricity and 1.025 million cubic mtrs of desalinated water.
The facility will supply desalinated water to Riyadh. The project is expected to be completed within three years.
