Chinese, Japanese cos vie for RMG sector in Bangladesh
8 December 2010: A joint delegation of Chinese and Japanese entrepreneurs have reportedly expressed their keenness to invest $ 3 million (approx Rs 13.5 crore) in Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) sector. They also expressed interest to transfer most sophisticated ‘Smart Grid’ technology for the development of the country’s energy and IT sectors.
The visiting seven-member joint Chinese and Japanese delegation conveyed their interest on investment and trade cooperation during a meeting with Industries Minister of Bangladesh recently.
