India's Axis Bank plans to set up branch in Colombo

19 October 2011: Axis Bank is planing to open its first branch at Colombo in Sri Lanka on 21 October 2011.

The Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal is scheduled to declare open the branch in Colombo.Axis Bank founded in 1994, was India's first private bank. It is one of India's banks with over 1,250 branches and over 6,250 ATMs spread across the country.
