KPK to initiate for hydel generation
13 June 2011: The Government of Khyber
Pukhtoonkhwa is to start construction work on eight mega projects with its own
resources which will generate 595 MW of electricity in financial year 2011-12.
The project is to come up at the cost of Rs 132 crore which is 89 percent higher
than the present financial year.In addition to the eight mega projects, the
three mega projects at Machai, Reenola and Mataltan with the assistance of Asian
Development Bank will be launched.
