Lanka Water Supply Ministry gets new complex
24 March 2011: The president of Sri Lanka has unveiled the "Lakdiya Medura", which will be the new building complex of the Ministry of Water Supply and Drainage. The Ministry was earlier housed in a rented building. The new complex is located at Pelawatte in Battaramulla, a suburb of capital Colombo.
The President unveiled the plaque of the new building at an auspicious time amidst religious observances. The board will now be able to provide an efficient service by housing all institutions coming under its purview under one roof in the new complex built at a cost of 300 million rupees.
