NPPF plans residential ownership
13 June 2011 - The National Pension and Provident Fund (NPPF), in Timphu , Bhutan is constructing and selling complexes.
The project is still at its conceptual stage. NPPF is to tie up with private real estate developers to make the residential houses; at the same time it will provide loans to buyers, which will also be a mortgage against the loan. At present it has five projects running equivalent in Thimphu and Phuentsholing and also has plans in Samtse and Gelephu. These projects however provide houses for rental purposes and not on sale. Meanwhile, the NPPF is already operational on a Nu 363M home ownership project with Yangphel, a travel agency where it is to build 116 apartments.
