Nepal to fast-track two Karnali and Arun power projects

20 January 2012: Nepal singled out the Karnali and Arun power projects for fast-track clearance.

Indian firms are the biggest investors in Nepal, accounting for about 47.5 per cent of the total approved foreign direct investment. There are about 150 Indian ventures in Nepal engaged in manufacturing, services (banking, insurance, dry port, education and telecom), the power sector and tourism.
