No plan to start merger talks with Hitachi: Mitsubishi Heavy
9 August 2011: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' has no plans to start merger talks with Hitachi. The company had various talks with Hitachi earlier, confirming it had been considering integration of some of its operations including social infrastructure systems.
But the company denied the possibility of an all-out merger of the two stating that it should not try to do everything by themselves when they venture into overseas markets as the domestic market shrinks.
