President inaugurates flyover bridge in Gampaha
19 January 2010: Mahinda Rajapaksa, President of Sri Lanka has inaugurated the flyover bridge constructed across the Gampaha railway crossing for public transport.
The 325-mtrs long and 15-mtrs wide bridge consisting of four lanes has been constructed at a cost of Rs 52 crore. The flyover is expected to reduce traffic congestion on the main road. The construction of the flyover had commenced in 2000.
