Shell inks pact for LPG business in Sri Lanka

9 November 2010: Shell has reportedly sold its LPG business in Sri Lanka to the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL).

Under the agreement, the parties have signed a share purchase agreement for GOSL to acquire Shell's shares (51 per cent) in Shell Gas Lanka Limited (SGLL) and 100 per cent of shares in Shell Terminal Lanka Limited (STLL) for a total amount of $63 million (approx Rs 277.2 crore).
