Sri Lanka mulls fisheries harbor development

14 March 2011: Sri Lanka is planning to develop the Beruwela fisheries harbor situated about 55 kilometers south of Colombo as a tourist harbor. The harbor will receive an aquarium, a museum, an exhibition center, a training center, and a boat factory.

It will provide more than 1,000 job opportunities to youth. Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry has also planned to convert Beruwela to an economic zone.
