Sri Lanka mulls sports complex for peace
25 March 2011: The Sri Lanka Government is planning to construct a new sports complex near Mankulum in the former rebel-held area as a joint project of Sri Lanka-based Foundation of Goodness and the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation charities.
The sports complex is meant to facilitate sport to be used as help to regenerate the communities and encourage reconciliation in the area. Sri Lankan cricket greats Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas and Kumar Sangakkara are to join hands with Botham for the project.
