Sri Lanka plans industrial estate in Mannar
20 November 2010: The Sri Lanka Government is planning to develop infrastructure facilities in the Mannar district to establish an industrial park in the land battered by three decades of war.
The Cabinet has given approval to establish an Industrial Estate in 24 acre in the district to attract investors to set up industries. The investors have identified the potential of developing industrial ventures in the District. Possible ventures would include garment industry, fish processing plants, production facilities of fishing gear, chemical and salt based products, agro based products and food processing.
