Sri Lanka plans to set up electronics industry incubator
26 September 2011: Sri Lanka plans to set up an electronics incubator at the Moratuwa University with the aim of helping companies and entrepreneurs develop precision and automotive technologies.
The incubator will verify whether prototyped new products are commercially viable. The university will use the initial funding to help entrepreneurs in product design, prototyping, skills building and also access its research and design facility. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, provided Rs 1 crore as initial funding.
