Sri Lanka plans to set up fuel stations
20 December 2011: Sri Lanka's Ministry of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources has taken measures to conduct a survey to prepare proper plans and criteria in setting up of fuel stations in the country. Accordingly, the research is now being carried out by the Civil Engineering Department of the Moratuwa University in this regard.
The first stage of the research has already been completed and the entire project is to be completed before the end of January next year. The factors such as the density of vehicles, the distance between the fuel stations and population are to be considered when compiling this report.
