Sri Lanka to import oil and gas from Oman

10 November 2010: The Sri Lanka Government has signed an agreement with Oman to directly purchase oil and gas from the Sultanate. The government is likely to take a tour to Oman to seek the possibility of importing gas and crude oil at concessionary prices.

Oman's businessmen are particularly keen in investing in agriculture and infrastructure as post-war Sri Lanka is remarkably progressing in social and economic development, according to sources.
