Sri Lanka to install pipe line for oil

25 July 2011: Sri Lanka plans to lay a new pipe line to transport oil stocks from Colombo Port to Kolonnawa oil storage.

The work has already been commenced of Construction activities of the new pipe line. A portion of the existing old pipe line has been replaced with a new structure until the new pipe lines are installed. The existing pipe lines are 40 years old have leaks that are blocked by substandard means.
