Sri Lanka to renovate 13 airstrips
4 December 2009: The Sri Lanka Government is planning to renovate thirteen air strips in the country.
As per the plan, the runways of airstrips in Polonnaruwa, Hingurakgoda, Palali, Ratmalana, Koggala, Katukurunda, Weeravila, Trincomalee, Sigiriya, Batticaloa, Ampara, Kankasanthurai, and Vavuniya will be lengthened and widened to operate medium scale aircraft.
