Sri Lanka to upgrade railway service
22 December 2011: The Govt. of Sri Lanka plans to sell vegetables and fruits to consumers at concessionary prices after transporting them in trains. The proposed programme would be implemented through the railway stations island wide for the convenience of the passengers. The government was trying to set up banks, super markets and internet cafes in railway stations in order to provide all services required by the train commuters.
