Sri Lanka, Bangladesh sign five pacts
22 April 2011: The Sri Lanka Government and the Bangladesh Government has signed five MoUs on agriculture, education, livestock, information, and commerce cooperation.
The MoU for commerce cooperation was signed between the Export Development Board (EDB) of Sri Lanka and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh. Other MoUs are for cultural, education and scientific exchange programmes, for cooperation in fisheries and livestock sector and for vocational education cooperation. A MoU between Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) and Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) was signed on cooperation in agriculture.
