Sri Lanka, Sheraton to build a hotel in Colombo

7 November 2011: The Sri Lankan government has completed negotiations with the Sheraton Hotels and Resorts to build a hotel in Colombo on the land it originally offered to the Chinese company, China National Aero Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC).

However the details are not revealed about the amount of the investment or extent of land the government had agreed to offer Sheraton. CATIC is now looking at an alternative land in Colombo to commence its hotel project.
