Suchirindia Lankan Hotels inks LoI with Starwood
2 November 2010: Suchirindia Lankan Hotels and Resorts has signed a LoI with Starwood Hotels and Resorts for their 200 keys hotel at Katunayake.
Work on the hotel is likely to commence in December 2010. The hotel will be operational by April 2013. The project will bring the pacesetting innovation, lifestyle-focused design, signature services and strong traveller loyalty through this project. Mihindu Keerthiratne Associates will be the hotel architects. The total investment into the project is $25 million (approx Rs 110 crore) and the statutory approvals are expected to be in place by end- November 2010 together with financial closure, which is in advanced stage of completion.
