Tata Motors to instigate Nano in Nepal
27 June 2011: Tata Motors to introduce the Tata Nano in Nepal. After foraying into the Sri Lankan market, the Company has officially launched its small car Nano in Nepal at a price tag starting from 7.98 lakh Nepal rupees (approx Rs 5.01 lakh).
The car will be sold in the country through the company's authorized distributor, Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, and those authorized by it with all the three variants of the car available for booking. Tata Motors had started sending the Nano to overseas markets from April, with the shipment of 498 units. Besides Nepal, the firm had launched the Nano in Sri Lanka at 9.25 lakh Sri Lankan rupees.
