Welfare projects approved for AJK
29 January 2010: The Working Development Party of the AJK Government has approved fund of Rs 47.02 crore for 11 projects of public welfare for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The projects include sectors of electricity, education, physical planning and housing. A sum of Rs 4.99 crore will be spent to provide electricity and telephone facility to villages near the Line of Control, Rs 7.1 crore for the construction of 600 KW Hillan Hydal Power Project, Rs 5.643 million for the construction of 11 KW transmission line from Kundal Shahi to main power station, Rs 5. 63 crore for the construction of Hat Hydro Power project for Neelum Valley, Rs 8.74 crore for computerisation of electricity bills, Rs 7.31 crore for the construction of residential buildings for the officers of District Headquarters Sudhnoti, Rs 1.02 crore for the construction of Bar Room for District Headquarter Plandri Sudhnoti, Rs 26.36 crore for sewerage and water supply project in Town Phase-I of District Bhimber, Rs 8.345 million for Sui Gas supply in the officers colony Mirpur and Rs 3.100 million for the acquisition of land and payments of Boys Degree College Danna.
