Work at Nooriabad comes to a hault
August 09 2008: Ongoing work on establishing industrial units at Nooriabad Industrial Estate has come to almost standstill owing to prevailing political turmoil in the country.
The investors have decided not to make any further investment till political unrest prevails as they fear that political situation may become volatile and it may become difficult to visit and control ongoing work.
The Nooriabad Industrial Estate is located between Karachi and Hyderabad and spread over 3,342 acres of land. Internal work on road has been completed and power, telephone and gas has been provided. A Labour Colony comprising 200 houses with all modern facilities has already been established.
