Yamaha plans to establish motorcycle plant in Pakistan
3 August 2011: Yamaha Corporation plans to establish their manufacturing facility of motorcycles at Karachi in Pakistan.
The company is to invest $150 million (approx Rs 667.5 crore) for the plant spread over 50 acres.
The motorcycle manufacturer will have EFI engine, automatic transmission, water cool & environment friendly exhaust system meeting European standard in this plant which will not only meet the demand of local market but will also enable them to export their models to various CIS countries.
