Projex Infographics underlines fresh projex investment during Jan-Dec 2013 as compared to the fresh projex investment in 2012. Overall fresh investment showed a drop from Rs 579,861 crore in 2012 to 575,952 crore in 2013.

Sector wise, major shifts were seen in Electricity, Infrastructure and Irrigation sectors. While power sector saw a fall from Rs 215,781 crore to Rs 120,803 crore, fresh investment in infrastructure and Irrigation sectors increased to Rs 278,833 crore and Rs 34,913 crore respectively.

As compared to 2012, the share of investment done by private companies showed a significant fall in 2013. So private investment dropped from Rs 317,579 crore to Rs 200, 262 crore, while fresh investment from state governments increased from Rs 110, 575 crore to Rs 225, 869 crore.
