ProjectsToday conducts a survey of projects investment, at the end of every financial quarter. Since inception, ProjectsToday has conducted 25 Quarterly Surveys. The findings of this surveys are presented in this section.

The main purpose of our Surveys is to gauge the direction and distribution of investment flows in different sectors, states and regions of India. Aggregates on project investments are classified by industry, region, ownership and implementation stages. This would not only be of relevance to the academically oriented user, but would also assist prospective investors and policy-makers to take informed decisions while planning investment strategies.

• These projects entailed a total investment of Rs.4,31,341 crore!!
• As of Dec 2006, there were 18,148 projects in various stages of implementation across India.
• The total planned investment increased by 21 per cent during the year ended Dec 2006.
• The latest investment boom was led by the manufacturing sector.
• Private Investment intentions increased at a faster rate than government intentions.
