Projects Investment in Gujarat
According to the 42nd Quarterly Survey of Projects Investment conducted by Projects
Today,
As of 31 March 2011, the state had 2,282 projects worth Rs
523,840 crore in various
stages of planning and implementation.
The implementation ratio stands at 46.80 per cent, as compared to the national average
of 46.17 per cent.
The major industries attracting project investment are thermal based power, shipping
infrastructure (ports), petroleum refineries and petrochemicals, oil/ gas pipelines
and storage, industrial parks, roadways, telecom services, non-ferrous metals and
cement and community welfare schemes.
