Nagaland is one of the seven state in the north eastern region. The mountainous state is rich in flora and fauna. Agriculture is the important economic activity of this state. The state has a vast Mineral resources reserves, Lime stone reserves accounts for 1,000 million tonnes. Among other resources available are Marble, Stones, Natural Gas, Nickel, Cobalt, Chromium, Basalt, Chert, Dunite, Serpentine, Spilite etc. Forest resources also available in abundance.

Projects Investment in Nagaland

According to the 42nd Quarterly Survey of Projects Investment conducted by ProjectsToday, as of 31 March 2011, the state had 26 projects worth Rs 2,853 crore.

The project implementation ratio observed for the state was 34.07 per cent, when compared with the national average of 46.17 per cent.
