Lifeline to set up hospital in Zambia

March 20, 2008: Lifeline Group of Hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding with the health ministry of the Zambia government to establish a state-of-the-art hospital in Zambia. Under the MoU, the Zambian government will provide five acres of land with an existing building. In the first phase, Lifeline will invest $10 million to construct additional buildings and operation theatres to facilitate a 100-bed hospital.

The Lifeline Group of Hospitals runs three hospitals in Chennai.
