Bhel took over BHPV
May 12, 2008: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (Bhel) formally took over Visakhapatnam-based Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV).
BHPV was incurring losses over the last decade and was under the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR). Bhel will develop BHPV as a dedicated centre for industrial boilers, ensuring better delivery. The company will invest around Rs.236 crore in BHPV over next three years.
